To the Piz Terza in winter

General description

The breathtaking panorama and the marvelous powder-snow-descents make this easy ski tour very popular. It is mainly south-facing and leads over beautiful ski terrain. At the summit, the ski tourers are rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view.

Route description

The tour starts at the car park on the entrance of the village of Lü (Münstertal - Switzerland) and goes over a forestry trail in direction to Alp Tabladatsch. Through a beautiful larch forest, you arrive at Alp Valmorain (2,185 m). Following the lane northwards on the sun-drenched slope, the trail turns just in front of Fuorcla Sassalba (2,619 m) and the summit plateau is reached over several ridges.
Arriving at the peak, a fantastic panorama opens up.

The descent goes down the same route as the ascent. Under good snow conditions the climb is rewarded with a powdery descent to Valchava.
