With its medieval castles, its small romantic villages and an unspoiled nature the holiday area "Obervinschgau" (Upper Vinschgau Valley) is a unique high-lying valley. The idyllic villages of the holiday area Obervinschgau are nestling among a green hollow and they are surrounded by the impressive group of mountains of the Ortler area.


A lively tradition and a rustic culture were able to grow over generations. The inhabitants in these historic towns are aware of their unique natural monuments. In summer these paths along the old irrigation systems are a starting point for the most beautiful walks and alpine tours. Furthermore there are 3 beautiful Nordic fitness parks along the irrigation system.


Visitors can live the typical hospitality of the inhabitants of the Vinschgau Valley in hotels, bed and breakfasts and cosy restaurants. Traditional meals and specialities give you unforgettable impressions.


Visitors find amazing ski-runs, wonderful cross-country ski-runs, fun for the  whole family - you can practice a great number of sports as well as use the Nordic Walking routes in Schlinig.
