Stairs to heaven - the Alpine Street of the Romanesque period

Visit the Romanesque places of cultural interest

Have a look over the frontiers of the three countries Italy – Switzerland – Austria. The Romanesque places in South Tyrol and the Grisons are an art-historic treasure. On the street of the Romanesque period you will meet various documents from former times. "The Foolish Virgins", "the Dumplings-Eater", the oldest churches in Tyrol, the smallest city in the Alps, the highest situated Benedictine Abbey in Europe are only some examples of the projects "Stairs to Heaven". It is really worth having a look into the "dark ages".
